This page is dedicated to recent Tracker Memorials. It will be updated as events occur.

Memorial Day 2021 the Trackers gathered in Tooele, Utah to honor our fallen and to dedicate the statue SEEK ON. This is the first time a Tracker handler and Labrador Retriever tracker dog have been portrayed together. The statue was inspired by the book "Seek On!" and is the work of artist sculptor Marvin Hitesman. Thanks to Marvin, Tooele Mayor Debbie Winn, the Elks and all those that made this possible.

Attending Left to Right, Standing: Jack O'Bannon, Don Campbell, Tom Dodd, Lloyd Pursley, Frank Merritt, Steve McDowell - Siting: Julian Van Dyke, Sculptor Marvin Hitesman, Chuck Steward, Bill Reed.

The War Dog Memorial, Colorado Springs, Colorado, was dedicated on September 12, 2020. The Memorial recognizes the contribution and sacrifice of the canine to our military. An excellent sculpture of a Labrador Retriever, the dog of choice for Tracker Teams, is next to a German Shepard. These dogs will never be forgotten and forever honored.

A five man, one dog, Tracker Team was present for the dedication. Julian Van Dyke - CTT#4, Lloyd Pursley, Chuck Steward, Don Campbell (his service dog looking the other way...) and Merle Thomas, all members of the 557th IPCT. These veteran Trackers traveled far and wide to attend the dedication. Thanks for being there.

The Memorial to Leo Roland Meyer was dedicated on 3 October 2020 in Johnsburg, Wisconsin. He was KIA on 5 October 1968 while serving with the 61st IPCT. He is remembered by his family, friends, church, community and fellow Trackers. Don Campbell, Yves Hamel, Don Hendricks and Frank Merritt were there to unveil the statue of Leo and his tracker dog Bruce. His sacrifice is remembered, he is forever young.

Two years later and Leo's family, brothers, sisters, and Trackers gather for a rededication. Third from the left is Leo's sister Rosie. She, family, community and Church made the memorial possible. Standing behind her is Chuck Steward. He served with Leo in the 61st IPCT, attached to the 1st Infantry Division. At the dedication in 2020 Chuck was unable to attend. Then COVID. Now Chuck is in Johnsburg with Leo's family. Standing to the right of Leo's statue is Don Campbell, veteran Tracker and stalwart. We remember.
