helicopters to pick up our teams on the pad behind us if it were better marked, Pop
scrounged paint from the engineers. He couldn’t get much of any one color, and chose
to mix them all together. Unfortunately the result was “Trackers” in 12-foot
high letters on the roof, plus all the barrels around the buildings, in a tasteful rose
PINK! You could see it from across the runway and was not only cause for ribbing from 1/9
Cav, but also credited as being a great aiming point since we started taking 107mm and
