This is our good friend and Aussie Tracker, Barry Magor. He has just completed
Tracker training at BJWS in 1967. He's all packed up and awaiting transportation to the
Battalion, which was stationed at Terendak Garrison near Malacca in Malaysia. Barry was
with
the 8 RAR. |

Barry sent us all of the photos on this page and the next.
"Common denominators!" He thought that these two pictures, this one and the one
below might bring back fond memories of BJWS. |

Unlike the Gates of Hell in Dante's Inferno, there is no sign here that
says, "Abandon all hope ye who enter through these gates!" Perhaps there
should have been??? |

Okay, guys, we need some identification for this one....this is a Yank
named Steve?? Barry doesn't remember his last name and needs conformation. |

This great shot was entitled, "A Mob of Yanks at JWS Nov./Dec.
1967." Baz (Barry) remembers Joe Mocki, Len Gigera and "Steve" in the
middle right. Back row from L to R: Bill (?) and Len Giguere, Middle row L to R:
Jerry Pritchett, Bob Phillips, Bill Grady, (?), Front row from L to R: John Wood &
(?). These guys deployed to various units in VN. Thanks to all of you who have
helped ID these Trackers! |
